Age and Identification verification

Acceptable identification

We accept the following forms of identification:
• Valid passport

For players from countries that do not require a passport to travel to Ghana, we also accept the following forms of identification:
• Passport
• National ID card

Each ID must include a photo of the holder. IDs that expired after June 30, 2025, are still considered valid. Please note that copies of passports or ID documents will not be accepted.

Time and venue

Age verification can be conducted at all playing fields used during Accra Cup. It will be available on the fields for as long as matches are being played. The age verification must be completed no later than Tuesday at noon. Teams are permitted to play their matches on both Monday and Tuesday without having completed the verification.

Key factors to consider

All teams must complete their participant list digitally via the Accra  Cup Account. The list must then be printed and brought to the age control.

All players participating in the tournament MUST be listed on the participant’s list. You are NOT allowed to add new names to the list after the age control has been completed.

If a player cannot attend the age control, their name must still be included on the participant’s list when the team undergoes age control. The player, along with a responsible leader, must then arrange for us to come and complete the age control before the player’s first match. You CANNOT add a player not already on the list, except in cases of injury or illness during the tournament. In such cases, a doctor’s certificate is required, stating that the original player can no longer participate.

A player may represent the same club or school in different age groups, but may NOT represent different teams in the SAME age group. If a player is participating in multiple age groups, they MUST be included on the participants list for every team they will play with and MUST complete the age control with each team.
